My roles at GCA are Executive Director, Americas; and Director, Craig Newmark Philanthropies Trustworthy Internet and Democracy Program. I’ve spent most of my professional life working on issues in the public interest. GCA offered the opportunity to extend that objective while working more closely with the private sector and government. Supporting interagency policy making within the Executive Branch of the U.S. government requires the ability to identify stakeholder equities and the range of
options to address a particular challenge or issue set. This experience helps me to among other things identify areas of collaboration with GCA partners and other stakeholders. As a former colleague once said, cybersecurity is a team sport; it’s important to remember that everyone can make a meaningful difference to enhance Internet security. What I like best about working at GCA is that we’re all passionate about making the Internet a more secure resource for the future.
What is your favorite quote?
“All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.” -TE Lawrence
