I am the Partnership and Business Development Assistant for the Americas. GCA is a non-profit with a global footprint, so I was excited to join an organization dedicated to a meaningful issue with a measurable impact. With experience in engagement and development for academic conferences, I hone my development professional skillset through the many opportunities and challenges presented while working at GCA. What I like best about being here is I enjoy working with inspiring and similarly passionate individuals.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
Cashiers, North Carolina. I have been hiking, river kayaking, and picking blackberries in those mountains since I was a young child.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Travel, cooking, and yoga! From fish butchery at the Sydney Seafood School to souffle making in Paris, I enjoy traveling to explore new tastes through international cooking courses. I also write a food blog, Emme’s Kitchen. Currently, I’m working toward my Registered Yoga Teacher 200 hours certificate with the Yoga Alliance. Following completion, I hope to teach with a local non-profit bringing yoga to special populations.
