GCA has been working to promote the adoption of Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance (DMARC). The Cybersecurity Tech Accord has also endorsed this email authentication policy, and together we hope to widely encourage its use, especially during a time in which so many people are forced to work from home. In the same way that we are encouraged to regularly wash our hands to reduce the risk of infection, we can reduce cyber risk by diligently following basic protocols on the Internet. The Cybersecurity Tech Accord outlines some of the myths about DMARC here, as well as reasons why it should be adopted by all domains. Additionally, GCA will be conducting a virtual DMARC Bootcamp beginning on May 4th – you can find out more information and register here – we hope you’ll join us!
GCA invites you to attend the fourth annual Cyber Trends event on 30 April 2020, from 12:00-6:00 pm, at Mansion House, London!
The event draws on the experience of industry practitioners, government representatives, and researchers to examine the current trends and what is on the horizon for the cybersecurity ecosystem, across the UK and the world. Join us in this opportunity to engage in a conversation with a broad group of stakeholders in a cognitive and physical space that helps policymakers, corporate leaders, and the community navigate technology and policy trends.

Do you have a right to a cleaner internet? We have discussed Quad9 and the advantages it gives organisations and end users. Although it’s easy to configure and a great thing to do, is it right that you should have to?
Many people now consider internet access to be a basic right – like having drinking water. Yet your drinking water is clean, but your internet connection often is the delivery mechanism that brings many dangers to your world.
Should ISPs be using Quad9 to protect you? Would you move your ISP connection if it had safety built in? Internet connection also means many things to many people – so it can also mean your local wi-fi hotspot and mobile Internet connection.
Isn’t it time you demanded a safer and cleaner internet? There’s no excuse now!
