Return Path Partners with the Global Cyber Alliance to Fight Cybercrime

By Brandon Dingae

Return Path is delighted to announce our partnership with the Global Cyber Alliance (GCA). We know this new relationship will help bolster Return Path’s mission to eliminate the impact of email fraud around the globe.

Founded in 2015 by the New York County District Attorney’s Office, the City of London Police, and the Center for Internet Security, GCA is an international, cross-sector effort dedicated to confronting and mitigating cyber risk. Their aim is to bring communities and affiliations together in an environment that sparks innovation with concrete, measurable results. Partners that have joined GCA include leaders from security, defense, retail, healthcare, insurance, energy, aviation, education, law enforcement, government, and finance institutions.

Global Cyber Alliance is pleased to welcome Return Path as a partner, which like GCA is focused on driving collaboration to achieve concrete outcomes. I look forward to Return Path’s participation in our joint efforts to implement specific solutions that mitigate cyber risks and in particular email fraud,” said GCA President and CEO Philip Reitinger.

One of GCA’s core initiatives is close to Return Path’s heart: promoting the adoption of the DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication Reporting and Conformance) standard. By blocking fraudulent messages spoofing a company’s owned domains before they reach the inbox, DMARC is the best defense we have to protect employees and customers from phishing attacks. As a founding member of DMARC, Return Path shares GCA’s commitment to advancing adoption in every industry around the globe.

“The Global Cyber Alliance promotes the values we are driven by here at Return Path: to identify risks, to collaborate around key solutions, and to take actions that make a global impact. Specifically, we are excited to help GCA achieve its core initiative to promote DMARC adoption worldwide,” reflected Rob Holmes, General Manager, Email Fraud Protection, Return Path.
